David J. Woodhouse, PhD

Dr. David J. Woodhouse has served on our Board since September 2020 and has served as Chair of our Board since April 2023.  David J. Woodhouse, Ph.D. has over 23 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, as a scientist and expert in strategy, finance, and capital development for growing biotechnology companies. He currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer and member of the Board of Directors at Nuvig Therapeutics. Prior to Nuvig, he was Chief Executive Officer and a director at NGM Biopharmaceuticals and also previously served as NGM’s Chief Financial Officer. Prior to NGM, David was an investment banker at Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC, most recently as a Managing Director in the healthcare investment banking group and co-head of biotechnology investment banking. Earlier in his career, David worked at Dynavax Technologies and also as a research assistant at Amgen, Inc. David received a B.A. in pharmacology from the University of California, Santa Barbara, an M.B.A. from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth, and a Ph.D. in molecular pharmacology from Stanford University School of Medicine.
